The Mission
My mission is to help people that are stuck on the endless cycle of working/studying and then going home to endlessly scroll on social media and watch TV until the next day comes, repeating the same thing over and over again and feeling lonely, unmotivated, burned out, and lost without purpose or passion in life. To do that, we should create "third places" where people can connect with others in person and learn how to take care of themselves as part of a meaningful community.
The Challenge
Nowadays everyone is too busy and consumed by their responsibilities at work and/or university, and to disconnect from all that pressure many people tend to just go home and spend the other half of their day on social media or other platforms, endlessly scrolling or watching TV in isolation, which only worsens the problem and has a toll on their wellbeing, both physically (we move and exercise less, and eat ultra-processed and easily available foods to cope with emotions) and mentally (we feel lonely, useless, without purpose or passion for things).
The solution
I propose to create a "third place" outside of work and/or university where people can connect with other people in real life, share interests, pursue their passions, and in general take care of their holistic health. This "third place" can be a place were people just go to have a coffee, read a book, have a chat and relax, but it would also offer different activities and workshops such as yoga, workout sessions, painting and music lessons, meditation, book club, guest talks about health topics (nutrition, breathing techniques...), etcetera.
