Evergreen Circular Solutions

The Mission

Our mission is to capture carbon and improve soil health while addressing urban air quality changes. We are committed to reducing landfill waste, promoting green spaces, and actively enhancing the ecological health of cities. By partnering with schools, universities, and municipalities, Evergreen provides accessible and customizable green infrastructure that combines carbon sequestration with cutting-edge technology. We aim to educate and inspire communities to participate in climate action, turning organic waste into valuable resources and empowering future generations to lead environmental stewardship. Through a shared responsibility model, we strive to create a circular ecosystem that aligns profit with purpose. Enriching the quality of urban life while contributing to a greener, more resilient planet.

The Challenge

Urban areas face a range of interconnected environmental and public health challenges. Cities produce vast quantities of organic waste from food scraps, landscaping, and public facilities, most of which are sent to landfills. As it decomposes this waste releases methane - a greenhouse gas 25 more potent than carbon dioxide - while taking up valuable landfill space. Compounding this issue, urban environments suffer from poor air quality and heat retention due to high levels of CO2 and pollutants, limited vegetation, and abundant heat-trapping materials. This results in“heat island” effects, reduced air quality, and greater respiratory health risks for city residents. The lack of green spaces in many urban centers contributes to these issues, preventing cities from fully benefiting from nature's natural ability to absorb CO2 and release oxygen.

The solution

Evergreen proposes modular garden systems that are flexible and scalable, designed to fit into diverse urban settings, from rooftops to balconies to larger spaces in universities and community centers. Each garden module is equipped with smart sensors that monitor moisture, pH, and temperature, ensuring optimal plant health with minimal maintenance. These modules not only enhance aesthetics but also create a circular economy through the use of biochar, which is created from local organic waste. By reusing local waste this way cities reduce landfill use, lower greenhouse gas emissions and create a circular economy.
