Building a web-based application to perform as a customized warehouse management system. Especially targeting international transshipment warehouse. Its basic functions include data handling, document generation, and process control. Further, the system is going to help with smart planning, including dynamic labor assignment, smart truck loading plan, and smart inventory management. Overall, it helps the warehouse to build IT infrastructure and take on the journey of digitalization.

The Challenge

With the development of international e-commerce, the requirement of oversea warehousing service is growing rapidly. However, many of the independent warehouse operation in the Netherlands remain traditional in terms of data handling and decision making, namely hand-writing paperwork and intuition-based decision making. They are not benefitting from the digital transformation in terms of process efficiency and risk reduction of manual error, let alone process optimization.

The solution

An easy use web-based application helps the warehouse to perform digital transformation. Basic implementation will be affordable without any infrastructure installation. It will digitalize all the data handling process including the documentation process. Further, introduction of equipment, such as scanning gates, smart pallet, and even AGVs, is going to digitalize the process deeper. At the same time, process decision optimization is going to be done with the application of AI and data science-based algorithms.
